Sussex Borough Economic Development Committee
The Sussex Borough Economic Development Committee (EDC) seeks to enhance and promote the many attributes that Sussex Borough has to offer. We are dedicated to helping create opportunities for economic development through the retention and growth of existing businesses and in attracting new commercial development. We will work as a partner in developing a climate for economic growth conducive to maintaining the quality of life in the Borough of Sussex, surrounding communities, and the County of Sussex.

Sussex County Small Business/Nonprofits Grant Program
The County of Sussex has dedicated American Rescue Plan funding to support local small businesses and non-profit organizations as they work to meet the challenges posed by the pandemic. Applications for funding up to $15,000 are available now for small businesses and nonprofit organizations that qualify at sussexcountysbg.com.
Women and Minority-Owned Small Business Stimulus
New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) Small Business Stimulus Program is available to women and minority-owned small businesses. This program offers up to $500,000 to improve indoor quality, energy efficiency, and water conservation to eligible small businesses with a commercial storefront. The program covers up to 75% of the cost of projects to:
- Repair/install HVAC to improve air quality/airflow and ventilation in a commercial facility and;
- Bring up to modern standards plumbing fixtures (faucets, toilets, showerheads) and commercial appliances (dishwashers, clothes washers, ice makers).
